Quick and Easy Spring Kerchief
With its universal shape and lightweight feel, it’s a go-to accessory that works year-round. You can use any yarn you have on hand, and the simple C2C construction means it works up quickly—even if you’re new to the stitch.
Because it’s such a fast make, this kerchief is ideal for thoughtful, last-minute gifts. Choose soft, breathable yarns for a cozy wrap in cooler months, or go with cotton blends for a breezy, warm-weather version. Add a decorative edge, buttons, or beads for even more personality and flair.
Whether you’re practicing C2C crochet for the first time or just want a relaxing, stash-busting project, this kerchief is a fun and satisfying make.
This kerchief is one size, that should fit most teenage/adult heads. However if you want a smaller/bigger size, follow instructions at the end of the pattern. It will allow you to make the kerchief any size you want, with (almost) any yarn you have.
I used 200m/60g of sport weight cotton yarn and 3mm hook.
Use up your scrap yarn to make a colorful version!
Next, wear it on your head to protect from the sun and add a splash of color to express your style. But think of wearing it also on your neck, shoulders or waist!
This pattern is also a great introduction to c2c – if you’re new to the technique.
