The Tunisian Entrelac Temperature Shawl is a unique and meaningful crochet project that turns a full year of temperatures into a wearable keepsake. Using Tunisian entrelac crochet, this pattern creates a striking, textured fabric made up of small, colorful blocks, with each block representing a single day.
The result is a shawl that not only keeps you warm, but also tells the story of a year through color and stitch.

This pattern offers a creative twist on traditional temperature blankets by transforming the concept into a drapey, stylish shawl. The entrelac technique delivers strong visual impact without complicated shaping, making it both engaging and approachable for crocheters ready to explore Tunisian crochet.
Watching the blocks build over time is incredibly satisfying and makes each section feel meaningful.
Designed as a mindful, long-term project, this shawl is perfect for working on a little at a time. Whether you crochet daily or in relaxed bursts, the repetitive structure makes it calming and easy to return to. It’s an ideal project for reflective crafting, journaling your year one stitch at a time.
By the end, you’ll have a large, cozy shawl filled with memories—perfect for marking a special year, milestone, or season of life. Practical yet deeply sentimental, the Tunisian Entrelac Temperature Shawl becomes a beautiful reminder of moments, temperatures, and time well spent with yarn and hook.
