The Frost Blossom Cowl is part of a meaningful collaboration between Vicky and her daughter Casey, bringing a touch of family creativity into every stitch. Designed to coordinate with the rest of the Frost Blossom Collection, this cowl carries that signature “frost meets bloom” look. Using the same stitch pattern and yarn combination, it ties the collection together while still standing beautifully on its own.
At the heart of this pattern is the lemon peel stitch—a relaxing blend of single crochet and double crochet that creates a gently textured, almost woven fabric. It’s a stitch that’s easy to learn but satisfying to repeat, making it ideal for beginners while still enjoyable for more experienced crocheters. The rhythm of the stitches makes this a wonderful project for winding down at the end of the day.
This cowl is worked flat in rows and then seamed, keeping construction simple and approachable. With a finished size of approximately 8 inches wide by 24 inches long before seaming, it creates a comfortable, close-fitting accessory. Made with Red Heart Bitty Stripes yarn in Crayon Box and Moonbeam, and supported by both a written pattern and video tutorial, this project is designed to set you up for success from start to finish.
